Join me in supporting real change. Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. Help us for The Piney Woods School
For too long our nation has failed to grapple with the plight of the African American community and all to often has failed African American youth. The recent pandemic has highlighted the endemic nature of these failures, lack of access to quality education and healthcare among them. A decrease in annual giving is projected to impact the number of scholarships for the upcoming school year by 30 percent due economic downturn related to the pandemic.
As we enter into our 111th year, The Piney Woods School remains committed to creating a safe and supportive educational environment for African American children who are often overlooked or counted out. As a champion of our work and our students, we are asking you to to help us promote giving to our student scholarship fund and program funding for the farm program during our 2020 virtual day of giving on Juneteenth—Friday, June 19.
